History
Established as an investment company, Kinled was a significant shareholder in Marley Plc, the multinational building materials and plastics company founded by Sir Owen Aisher and family in 1922. The Marley Group was sold in in 1997 and now operates as the result of a demerger as two separate companies known as Etex and Aliaxis. The Etex Group is an industrial holding company and a specialist in manufacturing and marketing building materials. The Group, with its head office in Brussels, has 80 subsidiaries across 39 countries and employs more than 12,500 people with a Turnover of EUR 1.534 bn. Aliaxis S.A., also located in Brussels, comprises a series of companies manufacturing and marketing plastic plumbing products for construction, industrial and public utilities applications, with 88 companies operating in 37 countries and 11,600 employees, and Turnover of EUR 1.834 bn.

Kinled was also a significant shareholder in Muro Investments Limited, which in association with Peter Aisher and Robin Aisher OBE founded Marina Developments Limited, in the 1970s. MDL is today Europe's leading marina group . The company owns and operates 18 major marinas and boatyards in the United Kingdom and was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1986. It is now entirely owned by Yattendon Investment Trust Plc.
